Board of Trustees
The Walden Community Improvement Association (WCIA) is the governing body of Walden. Its Administrative Offices are located at 13301 Walden Road. The office can be reached at (936) 582-1622, Monday - Friday, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
As a property owner, you are automatically a WCIA member and thus, entitled to use the amenities owned by the WCIA. These include the Yacht Club, the Yacht Club Swimming Pool, the Racquet Club, the North and South Boat Ramps, two park areas (one at the Yacht Club; the other on Windswept Drive) and several other common area parcels.
A lessee of a Walden residence may purchase a guest pass for access to the amenities owned by the WCIA. Simply bring a copy of your valid lease and proof of residency to the Administration Office and pay the applicable guest fees for access to Walden's Yacht Club, Racquet Club, boat ramps and park areas.
The WCIA administers roadway and grounds maintenance, street lighting, deed restrictions, property owner I.D. for vehicles and boat trailers, animal control, trash service and the daily operation of the community. The WCIA also publishes the monthly newsletter, Walden News.
A board of trustees, elected by the property owners, governs the WCIA. The board holds an annual members' meeting on the third Saturday of every January; furthermore, all board meetings throughout the year are open to the public.
