SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT A new Sheriff's Sub Station was erected in 2009. This is now located on Walden Road, adjacent to the Racquet Club/Fitness Center.
In addition to providing 24-hour patrols of Walden, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department also provides a Lake Patrol Officer. To report unsafe, suspicious or unlawful watercraft activity, please contact the Sheriff's Department dispatcher at (936) 760-5800. The same non-emergency number can be used to reach the officer(s) on duty within Walden. For emergency on lake or land, please call 911. The contracted deputies for Walden on Lake Conroe carry Automatic Emergency Defibrillators (AED) in their vehicles. Ambulance service is located just minutes outside of Walden on Highway 105.

SAN JACINTO RIVER AUTHORITY The San Jacinto River Authority (SJRA) is the regulatory body governing Lake Conroe. All rules and regulations regarding Lake Conroe come from the SJRA. For questions about the laws of Lake Conroe or to get a permit for your boat slip, please contact the SJRA at (936) 588-1111.

U.S. COAST GUARD AUXILIARY The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary provides boating safety training programs and volunteer lake patrols. The Coast Guard Auxiliary Communication Center is located at the Lake Conroe Dam off of Highway 105; the phone number is (936) 588-3322.

POSTAL SERVICE The Montgomery Carrier Annex, (936) 597-4222, is located on Highway 105 at Houston Street, which is one light west of the Highway 105 and Highway 149 intersection in Montgomery. The Retail and P.O. Box facility (936)597-8099, is located at 821H Eva Street, which is in between Woodforest National Bank and Subway. The Post Office's hours of operation are 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday through Friday and 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM on Saturday. Walden's mailing address is Montgomery, Texas, 77356.

VOTING INFORMATION Walden residents cast their ballots at Voting Box 63, located at the Montgomery Independent School District Administration Office at 13159 Walden Road. Absentee voting takes place at the West Branch of the Montgomery County Library located in Western Hills Plaza on Highway 105. During special elections, the polls are located at the Cape Conroe Fire Station.
